Our Heritage
The Apostolic Church of Las Vegas
The Apostolic Church of Las Vegas has been a place of faith, hope, and truth for more than sixty years. While our roots stretch back to the day of Pentecost in the Book of Acts, our local story began in 1962 when Bro. Dallas Mefford and his wife, Sis. Ethel Mefford, answered God’s call to establish a church here in Las Vegas, Nevada. With prayer, vision, and a steadfast love for souls, they laid the foundation for a congregation committed to the Apostles’ doctrine and the name of Jesus Christ.
In time, pastorship was passed to Bro. Steve Stoltzfus and his wife, Sis. Sharon Stoltzfus, who faithfully carried the mantle forward. Under their guidance, the church continued to grow in strength and unity, reaching the Las Vegas valley with the timeless truth of God’s Word.
Today, the Apostolic Church of Las Vegas is blessed to be shepherded by Pastor JD Stoltzfus and his wife, Sis. Cheremy Stoltzfus. Together, they lead with compassion, vision, and a heart for both the congregation and the community. Their desire is not only to preserve the heritage handed down by faithful leaders before them but also to carry the message of salvation into the future with the same dedication and consecration.
